Because you aren’t pushing yourself. When you first start working out there is this stage where the muscle starts developing and you feel great but most times you stop working out as much because you feel you don’t need to. Just push yourself and you will gain muscle.

Because you are 13 lol your body is still rapidly developing and the last thing its worried about are your muscles. Dont let this discourage you but youll really start seeing intense muscle gain in about a year, thats not to say you wont gain muscle now.. but a year or 2 you will really put it on.

Maybe you need to see a physician to get what YOU need for losing weight. The gym isn’t for everyone, you know.

As long as you have a good diet, and are eating the right foods, you have a good start in the mixed martial arts. But, 2 times a week just isn’t enough of a workout routine.

If you want to see better results in weight loss you need to incorporate more cardio workouts like running or biking. I suggest running a mile or more on your days off of MMA. You will definitely see the results you want in your weight loss if you start a good cardio routine outside of your regular MMA workouts.

As for muscle mass results, on your days off of MMA after you get done running your mile or more you should hit the weights in the gym. Work out different muscle groups 3 times a week. (Monday: Arms and Back muscles, Wednesday: Legs, and Friday: Abs) If you can work yourself to where you are going up in your weights about 5lbs. a week (as in if you do curls and use 20 lb. weights the first week, try to work up to 25 lbs. the next week.)

If you keep up that routine you will definitely see the results you are looking for.

I hope that helps!
Good Luck!

i kind of have the same problem, some one mentioned food - DIET DIET DIET! it’s all about portions. trust me! it’s reallly hard at first, you know those extra picks. and lay off the snacks those take away everything you work for at the gym. STAY AWAY FROM CARBS! don’t worry to much about calories, listen to me! you will see results faster if you keep up the mixed martial arts and your food diet! PLEASE TRUST ME! and don’t stress too much about weight you might get little breakouts ( pimples ) on your forehead. hope i helped

At 13, your body might not be at the stage where you see increased muscle mass from working out. Likewise for weight loss. The good news is, all that development happens quickly, so keep up your exercising, eat a diet high in protein, low in sugar and fat, and medium in carbs, and you’ll see changes before you know it!

it depends on how long you’ve been doing this how extensive your workouts are….give it time because you are young and your body is only adjusting.
