Animals pretty much always beat humans when we have no weapons. Why? We have no natural weapons besides our massive craniums which we use to create things like swords, knives, clubs, and guns, to compensate for that fact.

For it to be a fair fight in anyway you would have to take away all of the lions advantages. so if the lion has all of its teeth, claws, weight, and strength then it would win without a doubt. If it was a fair fight then there is a 50% chance that the MMA fighter would win.
The best UFC fighter would have trouble with a 100lb. Mountain Lion. They are just too fierce and aggressive, their skulls are super thick and their brains are really small making them less vulnerable to concussive blows that causes men to get knocked out. I say a 100lbs cougar would fight the best fighter in the world to a draw.
A lion will kick a martial artists arse and feed him or her to his children and wives. All a lion has to do is to catch you with one swipe of its paw and it’s over. You will probably have to take the lions exceeding strength away from it and leave the person the same.
